SEO Penguin
Let's cut right to the chase here. A lot of people have had their livelihood taken away by the latest Google algorithm update codenamed "Penguin". Their websites lost rankings in an already over-ad-filled search engine index page and ideally, they want those rankings to be restored ASAP!
Some searching questions are being asked by SEO's and regular website owners alike who have been affected by the recent changes. These include:
Why has my website disappeared from Google's index?
How can this happen?
What do SEO's have to do now to get those rankings back?
Is there anything that can be done?
Etc, etc. In short, people who have been following Google's own guidelines and building great websites full of original, well researched and well presented content and building links to their sites using what they believed were white hat tactics (exactly those formerly encouraged by Google itself), have been penalized because of those links. Right now the Google SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) are in a mess for most keywords with the top spaces once held by quality websites now occupied with thin, spammy garbage or Amazon.com
Website owners want it back the way it was.
Sure, Google has to fight spam and keep junk out of its index. But the way to do it is to hit the spam sites and NOT the good ones along with them.
So what can be done to get those good quality sites back in the index?
